Te Reo Ingarihi
This year in English we have covered so much! This class has been amazing to work with. Our class kaupapa is 'Courage' or 'kia Māia'. Everything we have been learning about is connected to our kaupapa. From the film Mahana to the novel 'I am Malala'and all the class discussions, PEERL paragraphs, essays, video's, books, songs and poems in between! As we head towards the end of year exams, I have every confidence that this class will achieve with success. Ngā mihi nui ki ngā ākonga-toa o Te Whare Totara!

ReplyDeleteThis year in english I learnt how to do an actual PEERL paragraph. Which has helped me with my essay writing.

ReplyDeleteThis year during english I learnt PEERL to enhance my writing. It helped me with the formal writing that we had written for I am Malala.
ReplyDeleteThis year I read a book callled I am Malala, it was about her fighting for education. But first we watched Mahana, a movie about a boy named Simeon who had great courage.
ReplyDeleteThe most important thing I have learnt in English this year are all the lessons I have learnt from the texts I have studied. I have learnt many lessons from the books, short stories, songs, and movies I have written about. These lessons have made me think about situations I am in, in a better way.
ReplyDeleteThis year in English I have learnt to understand the meaning of a Peerl paragraph and how to include it in my writing essays and when it is needed.
ReplyDeleteThis year our class topic is Courage. This year I have learnt to incorporate Courage into the many texts I have studied this year. I have learnt how to write PEERL paragraphs which helped me become confident in writing essays.

After reading about Malala I have started to get a deep understanding of what she went through and how all of the things that happened to her help shape her into the caring person she is now.

Earlier this year in T11 english I learned how to meet deadlines and write PEERL paragraph. This year I write five responses one of the responses I wrote was about a book called I am Malala. This book helped me to realise the importance of life and how quickly it could be taken from you.
